By and large, it was amazing base for sightseeing in Blackheath, had much fun and met exceptionally attentive and caring staff in a member of staff. The breakfast was generous and hearty for a hotel of this rating with freshly prepared hot and fish, as for instance. Distance to the airport was just 9 miles...

Comfortable hotel with off-street parking within easy walking distance to our final destination
Hotel can be over heated. Ok in winter but a real problem in summer.

Large Bedroom with seating and table area for reading not having to sit on the bed to do so. Excellent Breakfast. Good location with easy access to London and O2 arena. Parking (easter break) Better than expected as I had read reviews and have no complaints

The hotel was easily accessible from Gatwick... 20Min train ride to London Bridge then another 15 min or less to Blackheath and literally a 5 min walk to hotel. The Clarendon is a fine, comfortable, slightly jaded, family hotel situated in a beautiful position facing the heath. IStaff were very helpful and breakfast, while not exactly sumptuous or extensive in choice, was perfectly adequate.I Would stay here again as I considered it reasonably good value for london .

Room was big and well appointed. Car parking was available in the grounds although on a first come first served basis. This was quite limited when the size of the hotel is taken into account. The location is good, close to London and the rail network but relatively quiet with the open spaces of the heath and Greenwich park close by.
The suggestion that parking was available when it wasn't ample enough for the size of the hotel.
